What Challenges do you face while Making Hay?
Unpredictable Weather and Humidity Moisture.
Fluctuating weather patterns and high humidity levels make it difficult to achieve optimal hay conditions, leading to potential delays and quality issues.
Waiting on Dew to Bale.
Farmers often have to wait for just the right amount of dew to prevent hay from becoming too dry or brittle, causing inefficiencies in the baling process.
Decreased Hay Quality and Yield.
Extended drying times and poor weather conditions can lead to nutrient loss and reduced yields, impacting the overall value of the hay.
Outdated Baling Equipment.
Old or inefficient baling machines can slow down operations, require more manual labor, and result in less consistent bales.
Hay Spoilage During Storage.
Improper storage methods or conditions can lead to mold, rot, and significant losses, wasting both time and resources.
Inconsistent Bales.
Variability in bale density and moisture levels can make handling, transporting, and storing hay challenging while reducing marketability.
Outstanding Results
Baling Alfalfa at 22% Moisture vs. 14% Moisture results in more tons of dry matter harvested because you will retain the leaf and have less "dust" coming off the bale.
Up to 24 added points of Relative Feed value added due to elevated moisture causing higher leaf retention in the bale.
When adding preservative, you can bale at moistures up to 30% and the hay won't spoil.
Our moisture sensors can give you an accurate, instantaneous moisture reading up to 60% while you are in the field baling.
